A new book by Marie Younkin-Waldman

Simply South County”, Simple Stories from the Smallest State reflects on the serene, more peaceful side of life. It inspires beauty and balance- a book to enjoy particularly at this time.

This book contains a selection of columns originally written for The South County Independent newspaper in southern Rhode Island. The stories have a feeling of neighborliness and sensitivity. It is as though the reader is chatting over a cup of tea with an old friend. This is no coincidence as the author also hosts a cable tv show called Tea with Marie that focuses on a ritual of slowing down and savoring life just as one finds in the pages of this book.

Simply South County” is the celebration of small town life that brings to the reader a new appreciation for what “home” and “place” really mean. It does so through the words of a sensitive writer whose observations are universal.
